My pond is turtleless
I know that, nonetheless
It’s just a matter of time
To grow bigger and be sublime

My pond looks turtleless
And the others keep stress-
ing the fact that there should be
Although, it does not feel like me

My pond seems turtleless
It feels like it’s a mess
And I’m just standing there, wet
A tired look and an empty net

My pond is turtleless
For I should not repress
My ecosystem’s balance
I finally found the absence
